Teacher Reciprocity Requirements2: Oregon Department of Education

  • Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited school and state-approved teacher preparation program.
  • Testing Requirements: Must have passed acceptable subject matter exam or the Oregon Educator Licensure Assessments (ORELA). Test of US and Oregon civil rights laws and ethics also required.
  • Temporary Certificate Offered?: Reciprocal teaching license is temporary based on fulfilling deficiencies.
  • Other Notes: State of initial certificate must be NASDTEC member.
